Our main goal is to promote more federal funding for public schools across America. We need to help influcnce politicans in Washington to help create a budget that will help benefit students and learners to the best of their ability. In addition donate to other organizations based on helping minority students and low income students have higher chance of not completing high school.
"It depends of where the money would be able to go! If we could use the money to hire more teachers to lower class sizes, that would be the best option. Research shows that class size has a lot of impact of the teacher’s ability to ensure each and every student gets the individualized attention he/she/they need to be successful. I am lucky that our Seminar classes are so small—most other teachers have easily 32-35 students in a single class."
"If I were able to use the money in my own classroom, I would be able to purchase supplies without it having to come out of my own pocket. Nearly everything a teacher has in his/her/their classroom has come from their own paychecks—so some teachers are able to have a plethora of supplies, whereas others have little to no supplies available to students. I could more easily replace broken technology or purchase new technology to help students learn 21st century skills."
